Have you ever wanted to play the trumpet? Violin? Flute? Guitar? Clarinet? Well, you have come to the right place! The Yorba Instrumental Music Department offers Band, Guitar and Orchestra programs for all of our 7th-8th grade students. No experience required! You will learn skills on your selected instrument, how to read music, and how to be a critical listener. Students with experience on their instruments will be placed in our advanced ensembles (when available) or given leadership roles and musical features where their technique and musicianship will be challenged to help them grow as young musicians.

Yorba Music students perform in many concerts at school and in the Orange community. In addition to our Winter and Spring Concerts here at school, music students have opportunities to collaborate with other OUSD schools, go on field trips and showcase their skills with fun projects. The Yorba Music Department’s goal is to give students a positive experience with music that can inspire a lifelong passion for the arts. Yorba Music students will leave us with a strong foundation in music theory, the ability to play their chosen instrument, the habits of reflecting and persevering, a sense of group responsibility, as well as many fun memories.
