About Us
Running Springs Academy is on of thirty elementary schools in the Orange Unified School District, established in 1999. Running Springs is located on the eastern edge of the Orange Unified School District within the city of Anaheim. The school is situated in a residential area off Weir Canyon, near Ronald Reagan Park. The school consists of thirty classrooms, six portable classrooms, an multi-purpose building, two STEAM labs, a large library, and an administration building. OUSD provides 1:1 technology devices (laptops or iPads) to each Running Springs Academy student and these are utilized in the classrooms and STEAM labs.
Running Springs Academy began its International Baccalaureate journey in 2019 with the implementation of the Primary Years Programme, earning International Baccalaureate World School status in the fall of 2022. Through the IB Primary Years Programme, Running Springs Academy encourages students to be active participants in their learning, to gain a deeper understanding of how they are connected to the global community, and to develop the knowledge, conceptual understandings, skills, and characteristics to become lifelong learners.
