2021 College for Kids Summer Program

We are excited about our summer partnership with Santiago Canyon College. Their "College for Kids Summer Program" is available this summer for ALL Orange USD students in grades K-12 and offers fun, interactive, and engaging classes AT NO COST. This in an incredible opportunity that will accelerate progress to close learning gaps and provide our students with access to rigorous enrichment opportunities.

Space is limited, therefore, priority will be given to students who are not enrolled in an Orange USD summer program. Those students who are in an Orange USD summer program may participate, if space is available.

Classes will be offered in four different formats to meet our students' learning needs:

  • REMOTE LIVE- Students will use an online platform to meet instead of a classroom. Your class will be held at a set class time where you will meet with your teacher and classmates.
  • ONLINE- This class is 100% online and there is not a set class time. You take part in learning activities on an online learning platform. You communicate with your instructor through online discussions, video recordings, and class activities.
  • IN PERSON- This type of class takes place in person. Participants are required to wear face covering and practice social distancing.
  • REMOTE BLENDED 2 (ONLINE + IN PERSON)- Part of this class is completed online and will meet for scheduled hands-on training.

PLEASE NOTE: Make sure to carefully read the class description, schedule, and location in pages 8-18 of the brochure (link and QR code are on the flyer). Determine the class format your prefer for your student and then select the class. You will need to know the class name and event number when you register (link and QR code are on the flyer). Students must be registered at least one day prior to the start of the class. Once the student in registered, Santiago Canyon College will confirm student registration via phone call, email, and/or letter.
