Welcome to Olive Elementary School – Home of the Ocelots!
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2026–2027 school year! I am excited to partner with our students, families, and staff as we begin what I know will be a year filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences.
As a longtime educator, I have had the opportunity to work through many different challenges and celebrate countless successes. Those experiences have reinforced my belief that strong relationships and collaboration are the foundation of a thriving school community. I look forward to working together with our students, staff, and families to make this our best year yet.
This year, our focus will be on supporting the growth of every student—academically, socially, and emotionally. We are committed to providing engaging, rigorous, and supportive learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of our students. By working in partnership with families, we can create the systems and supports that help every child reach their full potential.
At Olive Elementary, we are dedicated to fostering a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where students feel valued, challenged, and inspired to learn. Through our AVID schoolwide focus, we will continue to provide high-quality instruction while ensuring students receive the targeted support they need to succeed.
My goal is to be visible, approachable, and available to our students, families, and staff. I value open communication and believe that the strongest schools are built through collaboration and mutual respect. I welcome your ideas, feedback, and partnership as we continue to grow together and provide the very best educational experience for our Ocelots.

¡Bienvenidos a la Escuela Primaria Olive, hogar de los Ocelotes!
Es un placer darles la bienvenida al año escolar 2026–2027. Me entusiasma poder trabajar en colaboración con nuestros estudiantes, familias y personal mientras comenzamos lo que sé que será un año lleno de aprendizaje, crecimiento y experiencias memorables.
Como educador con muchos años de experiencia, he tenido la oportunidad de enfrentar diversos desafíos y celebrar innumerables logros. Estas experiencias han reafirmado mi convicción de que las relaciones sólidas y la colaboración son la base de una comunidad escolar próspera. Espero trabajar junto con nuestros estudiantes, personal y familias para hacer de este nuestro mejor año hasta ahora.
Este año, nuestro enfoque será apoyar el crecimiento de cada estudiante, tanto académica como social y emocionalmente. Estamos comprometidos a brindar experiencias de aprendizaje interesantes, rigurosas y de apoyo que respondan a las diversas necesidades de nuestros estudiantes. Al trabajar en colaboración con las familias, podemos crear los sistemas y apoyos necesarios para ayudar a cada niño a alcanzar su máximo potencial.
En Olive Elementary, estamos comprometidos a fomentar un ambiente seguro, positivo e inclusivo, donde los estudiantes se sientan valorados, desafiados e inspirados para aprender. A través de nuestro enfoque escolar AVID, continuaremos brindando una enseñanza de alta calidad, al mismo tiempo que nos aseguramos de que los estudiantes reciban el apoyo específico que necesitan para alcanzar el éxito.
Mi objetivo es estar presente, ser accesible y estar disponible para nuestros estudiantes, familias y personal. Valoro la comunicación abierta y creo que las escuelas más sólidas se construyen mediante la colaboración y el respeto mutuo. Sus ideas, comentarios y colaboración son siempre bienvenidos mientras continuamos creciendo juntos y brindando la mejor experiencia educativa posible a nuestros Ocelotes.

If you wish to open enroll to Olive, Open Enrollment applications are available based on space.
Students will be added to the waitlist and be processed as openings are available.

WE LOVE VOLUNTEERS!
Volunteer applications will be routed through the Informed K12 site:
Step 1: Volunteers will submit a completed application with their attached proof of Keenan trainings. They will then forward the application to the site designee.
Step 2: The site designee will review the application for completion and forward it to the principal/department head for signature.
Step 3: The principal/department head will approve the application and forward it to the Human Resources Department.
Step 4: The Human Resources Department will approve the application and will send confirmation to the volunteer, site designee, and Principal.
You will receive a phone call from Mrs. Whitehead letting you know your application has been approved.
