Health Office Services
If your child becomes injured or ill at school, he/she needs to immediately tell the classroom teacher or teacher on duty. Your child will be sent to the office, and you may be contacted to pick your child up from school.
Medication:
Medication should be taken at home with a parent or adult supervision. Prescriptive and non-prescriptive medication may be taken at school only under adult supervision by an authorized school personnel. Any mediation that is required to be administered at school must have a doctor's form with signature and stamp and every student must have an OVER-THE-COUNTER form filled out and signed on file. Students are not allowed to carry prescription or over the counter medication at school on their own. Under unforeseen circumstances, parents are allowed to provide and administer the medication directly to their child.
Our school has a NURSE or HEALTH CLERK available on site. The school district offers the following services through the school during the year.
Vision and hearing screening
Immunization requirement coordination
Health record maintenance
Special health referral processing: health care, vision, dental, and/or community resources
Emergency care at school
Supervision of the control of communicable diseases
Health information interpretation
