The YMCA's ASES S.T.A.R program is offered to all students at Jordan Elementary at no cost; when space is available. The program provides participants with academic enrichment including homework assistance, hands-on learning, recreational activities, academic clubs, and STEAM hands-on activities. Students are also exposed to music, theater, art, science, and positive life skills. The program runs every day that school is in session from dismissal time to 6:00 pm.

Students are served a nutritious snack that conforms to the Nutritional Standards established in Education Code Section 49430. OUSD’s Nutrition Services supplies the snacks.

Open registration is usually around Mid-May, on a first-come, first-served basis. Our capacity is only 80 students. Parents that are interested in joining the ASES program can contact the Site Coordinator to enroll or to be placed on the wait list if the program is full. As spots become available, those students on the wait list will be contacted.
