Principal's Message

Dear Jordan Scholars and Families,

It is my great privilege and honor to serve in the role as principal of Jordan Academy.  I have been a part of this community for the last eight years as a teacher and robotics coach.  I have over twenty-four years of experience in education, which has included teaching in GATE and Dual Immersion positions, serving as a Reading Resource teacher, Teacher on Special Assignment,  Assistant Principal, and Principal of Fletcher Mandarin Immersion and GATE Academy.  I hold a Multiple Subject Teacher Credential with a Bilingual Authorization, a Tier II Administrative Credential, and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership.  I am excited for this opportunity to lead Jordan Academy in its future growth and next chapter.

Jordan Academy believes in equipping students for the future by offering our Dual Immersion Spanish and Computer Science programs to ALL students. We are in year six of implementation and have added fifth grade to our Dual Immersion program this year.  Our Robotics and Computer Science programs are award winning and we are so proud to continue to expand opportunities for students during and after the school day. 

We are an AVID certified school, which means we intentionally prepare students for college and career opportunities while using highly effective teaching strategies.  Our teachers are also trained in PBIS, Thinking Maps, Write From the Beginning, Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) strategies, and Guided Language Acquisition Strategies (GLAD).  We continue to deepen and improve our instruction in order to offer the highest quality instruction to our students.
