Enrollment for TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN (TK) for Students NEW to OUSD (Never Enrolled Before)
Follow the steps below enroll in the TK Program for the 2022-2023 school year:
STEP 1:
Collect the following student documents required for enrollment.
- Age Verification: Certified Birth Record, Duly Attested Baptism Certificate, Passport, County Registrar or Recorder Statement, Affidavit by the Parent/Guardian or Other
- Proof of Required Immunizations: Official copy from Doctor, or previous school.
- Proof of Residence: Current Utility Bill (gas, water, electric) statement, contract or payment receipts in the
parent/guardian's name.
Other documents accepted:
- Property tax payment receipts
- Rental property contact, lease, or payment receipts
- Pay stubs
- Voter registration
- Correspondence from a government agency
If parent/guardian is renting or living with a third party, complete the following form with the third party signature and a copy of third party's Utility statement:

If parent/guardian is unable to provide any of the documents listed as proof of residence, please contact your school.
- Educational Documents (If Applicable): Please provide a copy of your Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or 504 Accommodation Plan
- If you would like to electronically upload the required documents and educational documents with your Air Online Enrollment (in Step 2), please scan and save each document to your device and be prepared to upload. Otherwise, please contact your school of residence for information on providing your enrolment documents to the school. Enrollment is not complete until all required documents have been submitted.

COMPLETE Aeries AIR Online Enrollment steps and UPLOAD the OUSD New Student Forms and required enrollment documents via AIR Online Enrollment.
- TK Enrollment Form: Complete online from the AIR Documents page (uploads directly to school).
- Home Language Survey: Complete online from the AIR Documents page (uploads directly to school).
- Parent Portal Form: Complete online from the AIR Documents page (uploads directly to school).
- AIR Online Electronic Signature page: Complete your online AIR enrollment, with the option to upload the enrollment documents listed in Step 1.

STEP 3:
Upon completion of your online enrollment, office staff will contact you regarding the status of your enrollment and any additional documentation that may be needed.
Your enrollment is not complete until your school of residence verifies receipt of all the required documents and any additional items you will need to complete the enrollment process. The school will also answer any questions you have and provide you with more school information.
TK Applications: Your school location "preference" will be reviewed by the TK Educational Services Office and you will be notified by mail.

Requesting Open Enrollment for 2022-2023
K-12 Open Enrollment for the 2022-2023 school year
Open Enrollment is for students who would like to attend a school other than their home school, assigned based upon their area of residence. You may find your "home" school by looking up your address at SchoolLocator at http://apps.schoolsitelocator.com/?districtcode=57964.
The 2022-2023 Open Enrollment Applications will continue throughout the 2022-2023 school year. Students will be added to the wait list and be processed as openings are available. The Open Enrollment forms are submitted directly to the school site of choice. Please follow up with the school site office for receipt status. Please click on the school site link below.

To enroll in Kindergarten for the 2022-2023 School Year:

STEP 3:
Contact your school to complete the enrollment process.
Contact your school of residence to verify completion of your enrollment forms and to complete the enrollment process. Your enrollment is not complete until you contact your school. Once the student is enrolled with a student ID number, school staff will instruct the parent to complete an additional required step: Data Confirmation through the Parent Portal in August.

McPherson Magnet School
McPherson Magnet School, an OUSD K-8 Magnet School, is open to all OUSD resident students (should you qualify for the Allen Bill - employee related interdistrict transfers - you must first obtain a release from your district of residence. The release must be taken to the principal of McPherson Magnet School prior to the lottery orientation. Students interested in attending McPherson Magnet School must participate in a lottery. In order to participate in the lottery at McPherson Magnet School (K-8), families will need to attend one of the orientation meetings at McPherson Magnet School.
