Mrs. Cipres has been Esplanade's librarian since 2014. She loves working with Esplanade's students and is passionate about reading to them, helping students pick out the perfect book, and inspiring them to LOVE reading! She enjoys not only being in the library, but loves when she is invited into classrooms to hear students read and work with them individually or in a small group.
When Mrs. Cipres is not at Esplanade, she is busy with her own 3 children, getting them to their activities and spending her weekends at soccer games and swim meets. She even finds time to hang out with her husband.
Mrs. Cipres has several library contests including Box Tops and Reading Counts.
Box Tops Contest:
The upper and primary classrooms that turn in the most Box Tops each trimester win an ice cream party.
The student in each grade level with the most points each trimester receives the Super Star Reader Medal at the trimester awards assembly. All students who reach the reading counts goal set by their teacher earns a prize at the end of each trimester. For more reading incentives, see the Reading Incentive Program tab.
Students and parents can come to the library after school to use the computer lab or to read, check out, or return books. Mrs. Cipres is available to help students and families with any educational resources Esplanade offers.
The library has extended hours every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, until 3:15 PM.
