Assessment & Accountability

The Department of Assessment & Accountability in the Orange Unified School District functions to support schools, students, communities and families. Department Director and Coordinator oversee categorical funds from the state and federal government. The intention of these funds is to support student achievement for defined subgroups. Teachers on Special Assignment support student learning through teacher development, curriculum specialization, and implementation of grants to equalize educational opportunities for socioeconomically disadvantaged students. English Learner Instructional Specialist model instructional best practices and English Language Development Standards to support teachers and students in elementary and secondary education. Department actions and goals are defined in the Local Control Accountability Plan.
The Assessment Department provides leadership and support for district administrators, teachers, parents and the community for a variety of local, state and federal assessments. We collect and analyze data to facilitate data-informed, student-centered decisions. We strive to provide accurate data to enable student success.
