What is ParentSquare?
Orange Unified School District is proud to be using ParentSquare as the new communication platform for district and school news, using email, text and app notifications.
With user-friendly, mobile navigation and many useful tools, we hope you will love our new ParentSquare communication platform.
ParentSquare uses the contact information provided in Aeries during registration/data confirmation. If you need to update this information, please contact your school site's main office.
Let's Get Started!
All Orange Unified School District staff, parents/guardians, and students will automatically have ParentSquare account. You can download the app for your mobile device or view your account from your computer on a web browser.
To begin using your Parent Square account, you will need to log in and register your account (with your registered Orange Unified School District email address or phone number) to control your preferences, such as how often you receive notifications, and to be able to fill out forms/permission slips electronically.
ParentSquare provides important news with instant translations in more than 100 languages.
- Receive messages from the school via email, text, or app notification
You choose how often you receive notifications:
- Choose to receive information as it comes or all at once with a daily digest at 6 p.m. (excluding emergency notifications)
- Communicate in your preferred language
- Direct message teachers, staff, and other parents
- Sign up for parent-teacher conferences
- Receive report cards
- Fill out forms and permission slips

YOU CHOOSE How You Receive Notifications!
Once you have registered your account, you can adjust your notification settings to determine which communication methods you prefer – email, text, or mobile app – and how often you would like to receive these notifications.
You have three options:
- Instant: Receive all messages instantly
- Digest: Receive all messages together in one daily communication around 6:00 PM*
- Off: No notifications are sent.*
You can check the app for notifications at your leisure.
*IMPORTANT: Regardless of your notification settings, you will continue to receive emergency notifications instantly. This will include snow cancellation messages.
Please note that if you reply “STOP” to opt out of text notifications, you cannot resume receiving text messages unless you text, “START” to 66458.
