Board Meeting Community Norms

The Board of Education cordially invites you to attend Board meetings and to take an active role in the educational affairs of your community. The decisions of your elected officials affect your child, your child’s future, the well-being of the community and, to a greater extent, the welfare of our country.

Agendas are generally posted the Monday before each meeting.

The OUSD School Board Meeting is open to the public and social distancing measures will be in place to ensure health and safety. The capacity of the board room will limit the number of public participants who can be physically present inside the meeting.

Public comment cards will be available at 5:30 PM at the board room and will close promptly at 7:00 pm. To ensure distribution to the Board of Education prior to the Board meeting, Electronic public comment cards will be accepted on the day of the board meeting up to 3 p.m. Electronic Comment cards will open at noon: https://forms.office.com/r/YG3MjYbzZ3. All electronic public comment cards will be provided to the Board of Education and posted on the district’s website for 10 business days. Electronic public comment cards are not read aloud at the meeting unless additional time is approved by the majority of the board of education.
