Career Technical Education (CTE)

The Career Education program in the Orange Unified School District (OUSD) provides opportunities for students to explore careers from middle through high school. Under the umbrella of Career Technical Education (CTE), career education courses provide hands on learning experiences that build essential and technical skills across 12 industry sectors. OUSD offers 25 CTE pathways that align with industry credentials, certification opportunities, postsecondary training, employment and/or college credit. OUSD students graduate with the EDGE due to the rigorous and relevant curriculum and preparation for high-skill, high-demand careers.

CTE programs prepare students to enter today’s competitive workforce. CTE courses support the California Common Core State Standards and CTE Model Curriculum Standards, preparing students for a successful high school experience, post-secondary options and the world of work.
