Before & After School Registration

The Centers for Afterschool Recreation, Enrichment & Safety (CARES) provides engaging and attentive before and after-school child care for students who attend elementary school in Orange Unified School District.

Studies have shown that children involved in after-school programs demonstrate enhanced personal and social skills, display significant increases in their self-perceptions and bonding to school, positive social behaviors, increased standardized test scores and work habits, and significant reductions in behavior problems.

The CARES program, which is available at 18 school sites and serves more than 2,000 students each year, provides students with the range of activities that support academic enrichment, social development, and physical health.

2024-2025 CARES Fall Registration opens Monday, April 1st at 9am and will remain open until site capacity has been met. Current enrollment in the 2023-2024 CARES before and after school program does not guarantee your enrollment - registration is required for the new school year.
