Parking Procedures

Canyon Rim’s #1 priority is the safety of our students, families and staff.

Please be sure to adhere to the following parking lot procedures.

Drop Off:  Parents should pull into the parking lot and pull as far forward as possible, along with the yellow painted curbs. Students can enter the campus at any open gate. Do not block the crosswalks. If you walk your child to school, please walk to the stairs and allow your student to walk down the stairs to enter the campus through any gate. We are asking that no parents get out of their car or walk their child to the gate.

Pick Up:  Parents should pull into the parking lot at their student’s designated dismissal time. Parents should place a piece of paper with their child’s first and last name, as well as their teacher name. Students will be called by a parking lot supervisor. Please do not block the crosswalks. If a parent requests that their child be released at the dismissal bell, the parent should notify the teacher. Teachers will then release the student at their designated dismissal time. If you are walking to pick up your child, please stand at the top of the stairs located near the front office with a sign that includes your child’s first and last name, as well as teacher name. Your child will be called to the stairs at their designated dismissal time. If you have your child walk home, do not allow your child to cross the street unless in a marked crosswalk. We are asking that parents DO NOT get out of their cars or walk down the stairs.

In the parking lot, when dropping off or picking up your child, please do not get out of your car for any reason. Staff is available to assist with loading and unloading, if needed. If at any time you need to park and get out of your car to come to the office, please use the crosswalk.

This is for your safety. Please drive slowly and safely.

Thank you!
