Academic Programs

Cambridge Elementary is proud to offer high quality academic programs that give all of our students access to a variety of academic opportunities. Students have opportunities for enrichment in the arts and STEM education as well as timely supports in a variety of subject areas. Some of these opportunities are:

AVID: Advancement via Individual Determination is a systematic approach to helping all students be college and career ready. Our teachers are AVID trained, and continue to grow in their use of AVID in the classroom.

STEM: Our school offers a variety of STEM activities during the school day, including our STEM lab, Legos in the classroom, and Amplify Science. After school, we offer eSports (Nintendo Switch Mario Kart), a Drone League, and Lego Robotics.

VAPA: Visual and performing arts teachers come onto campus twice a week to offer a variety of opportunities for students to learn and develop skills in the arts. This program is currently offered for our 5th and 6th graders only.

Art Masters: our TK-4th grade students practice art in the way of famous artists. Students participate in this free program during the day three times a year.

ASES Campfire: ASES Campfire provides after-school enrichment programs for our students. They are paid for from State Expanded Learning Opportunities funds. They offer a range of programs for all students at Cambridge.

Cambridge Cubs R.O.C.K. is our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) program that focuses on supporting students in developing common values and demonstrating them across campus. It is a character education program and will be connected to a variety of assemblies and in class learning activities.

WIN (What I Need) Time: once a day for 30 minutes, every student on campus participates in a Math support and enrichment program.
