Spanish Immersion Academy (iInspire Academia)
California Elementary School is a public TK-5th grade school in the Orange Unified School District. After extensive surveying of parents in the community during the 2013-2014 school year it was determined that parents were interested in a Spanish Immersion program to better prepare students to compete in a global economy. The Spanish Immersion program called the iInspire Academia started in the 2015-2016 school year with our first Kinder class.
The iInspire Academia is a one-to-one iPad academy integrated into a Spanish Immersion curriculum. The academia is exclusive to California Elementary School in the Orange Unified School district.
* 50% of the instructional day is conducted in Spanish and 50% is conducted in English. The academia offers a balanced program that emphasizes both English and Spanish Language development.
* A class set of iPads is dedicated to the classroom.
* The teacher utilizes an iPad and Apple TV to stream multimedia teacher and student presentations and multimedia information.
* Intensive Professional development support is provided to integrate technology seamlessly into an immersion curriculum to meet the high demands of 21st century learning.
The iInspire Academia at California Elementary School is an innovative and award winning one-to-one iPad program that seamlessly infuses 21st century learning and technology into a Spanish Immersion curriculum. Students learn to be bilingual and bi-literate in both English and Spanish while mastering 21stcentury skills. Students will have the opportunity to continue their language skills in middle school, high school and have the honor to earn college credit by taking Advanced Placement (AP) courses in Spanish. Students will graduate with a Seal of Bi-literacy on their diploma and college transcripts. Students will enter the workforce with 21stcentury skills and will be prepared to communicate and collaborate with the over 500 million people worldwide that speak Spanish. Space is limited and the program will be offered after 30 students have committed to enrolling.
We will be accepting Kindergarten applications for the 2019-2020 school year.

Dual Immersion Application Due Date: All online applications received prior to the close of the OUSD Open Enrollment deadline of January 29, 2019 at 4:00 PM will be considered for the lottery. All applicants received after January 19, 2019 at 4:00 PM will be considered based on availability on a first come first filled basis.
Please note that you must complete all required registration and/or Intra District Transfer paperwork in addition to this application to secure your spot.
If you live within the California attendance boundaries please enroll with our office in addition to completing this (California Elementary Spanish Immersion) online application. Our Kindergarten Registration begins January, 18 2019.
If you do not live in the California attendance area but live within the OUSD attendance area please contact your home school and complete a Intra-district Transfer (Open Enrollment Request Form) within the OUSD Open enrollment window (January 14, 2019 - January 28, 2019) in addition to completing this (California Elementary Spanish Immersion) online application.
If you do not live in the OUSD attendance boundary, contact your home district as soon as possible to request a Inter-District Transfer, in addition to completing this (California Elementary Spanish Immersion) online application.
Please complete your online application by 1/28/2019 at 4:00 PM to be included in the first round lottery prioritization for Kindergarten.
