Morning Fitness
At Anaheim Hills Elementary, we recognize the positive influence an effective physical education program can have on our students’ health and well-being. As part of our mission statement to cultivate a community that enables our students “to grow academically, physically, and mentally”, we are proud to present our new, school-wide implemented Morning Fitness Program. The purpose of this program is to provide all of our students with the opportunity to engage in a range of diverse activities, to build upon the skills they already possess, as well as to introduce new ones. Every morning for twenty minutes, our kindergarten through fifth grade students visit different stations that aim to develop a specific skill. Each station is entirely facilitated by our wonderful sixth grade scholars who teach their activity to every grade level, effectively becoming leaders in our school community. Whether it is dribbling a basketball, throwing a frisbee, or bumping a volleyball, our students are learning these skills while having fun engaging with their peers. We have seen the impact this program has already made on our school and we are so excited to see how it will grow!
