October 2020 Employee of the Month - Congratulations to Jola Wrzesien, Senior Fiscal Accountant at Fiscal Services

“YOU’VE GOT THE EDGE” Employee of the Month Recognition program has been designed with the District’s Core Values in mind.  This program encourages outstanding customer service in the workplace in fulfillment of the District’s new Strategic Plan. It increases awareness of the goals and values as well as the importance and significance of outstanding performance.

Certificated and Classified employees who have been nominated by their peers, co-workers, and/or supervisors are selected for exemplifying the following core values:

 Jola Wrzesien, Senior Fiscal Accountant at Fiscal Services

Barbara Stephens, Director, Fiscal Services, had this to say about Jola:
“Jola lives and breathes customer service. What she values most is supporting those who directly influence student success. Her everyday goal is to share her expertise to assist all staff in efficiently carrying out their current projects. Jola’s interactions with others are always positive and they usually make someone’s day a bit better and brighter. She is a wonderful example of the power of nice.”

Andrew Granite, Special Education Coordinator, had this to say about Jola:
“Jola has been a tremendous asset to our department during the close and re-opening of the fiscal year. She has always been accessible while working remotely, and upon return to the office. During this period she has provided us invaluable assistance in our Department's planning for the Fall of 2020. Not only has she supported us in her exceptional technical skills, but has always done so in a collaborative manner and with a spirit of kindness to all.”
