Measure S Update: Phase II Campus Improvements Underway at Villa Park HIgh School and Orange High School

Our four Measure S Phase 1 science centers are tremendous assets that will serve our students and community for generations to come. During Phase 2, we are very excited to be able to provide additional campus improvements based on individual site needs.

The second phase of Measure S at Villa Park High School is underway and focuses on the construction of a new 18-classroom building with restrooms, modernization of the 100/200 building restrooms, the addition of a new passenger elevator, and the relocation of the staircases for the 100/200 building. Construction is anticipated to take about two years to complete.

Phase 2 of Measure S is also underway at Orange High School. A new 26,000-square-foot Administration and Student Services building will be constructed, which includes a Counseling and Health Center. In addition, an expanded quad with increased seating areas for students and an Alumni Corner will be added on campus to foster collaboration and school spirit. Construction will begin in January and continue for approximately two years. The facility is anticipated to open for students and staff early in the 2024-25 school year.

Projects at El Modena and Canyon High Schools will begin in early and late Spring 2023, respectively.

We thank our taxpayers, who continue to fund the Measure S projects at our comprehensive high schools. The modern, functional facilities and learning opportunities created by our Measure S projects are a testament to what is possible when our community works together.
