Orange, CA – May 12, 2020 – Orange Unified is proud to announce Crescent Elementary’s Cougar Bots won Third Place in their division at the VEX Virtual World Competition. In this unique event, the Crescent team’s top 15 scores for the year were paired with other teams’ scores and then randomly paired with a computer program to determine the winners.
Coached by Crescent teacher Jennie Bond, Team 15B’s Cougar Bots include Matthew, Maanika, Omer, Riley, Sophia, Noah, and Sarah.
"We appreciate the hard work and dedication of our Teacher Advisor Mrs. Bond as well as the time contributed by our parent volunteers to support our students so they can do their best," stated Principal Shelé Tamaki. "Our strong Robotics program demonstrates 21st Century learning to increase and strengthen student interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education while preparing our students to be college and career ready.”
El Equipo de Robótica de la Elementaría Crescent del Unificado de Orange Obtienen Puntuaciones en el Concurso Mundial Virtual VEX
Orange, CA - 12 de mayo, 2020 – El Unificado de Orange se orgullece de anunciar la Elementaría Crescent Cougar Bots ganaron Tercer Lugar en su división en el Concurso Mundial Virtual VEX este mes. En este evento único, las mejores 15 puntuaciones del equipo de Crescent para el año fueron emparejadas con las puntuaciones de otro equipo y emparejadas aleatoriamente con un programa de computadora para determinar los ganadores.
Entrenados por maestra de Crescent Jennie Bond, Team 15B’s Cougar Bots incluye: Matthew, Maanika, Omer, Riley, Sophia, Noah, y Sarah.
“Apreciamos el arduo trabajo y la dedicación de nuestra Maestra Consejera la Sra. Bond al igual el tiempo contribuido por nuestros padres voluntarios en apoyando nuestros estudiantes para que ellos puedan hacer su mejor esfuerzo,” dijo Directora Shele Tamaki. “Nuestro programa fuerte de Robótica demuestra aprendizaje en el Siglo 21 para aumentar y fortalecer el interés de los estudiantes en la educación de Ciencia, Tecnología, Ingeniería, y Matemática (STEM) mientras prepara a nuestros estudiantes para la universidad y la carrera.”
