Serrano Elementary’s Early Act Students Contribute to Community

Villa Park, CA – March 12, 2019 – Last week, Serrano Elementary’s Early Act members reported at the Villa Park City Council meeting that they had raised $3000.00 through a school-wide fundraiser supporting Pennies for Patients. The Early Act Club has also participated in two beach clean-up days and helped prepare meals at Harvest Food Bank. They are preparing for another beach clean-up day and an opportunity to pack lunches for homeless students.

Serrano Elementary’s Early Act Club is open to interested members at the sixth grade level. Early Act, part of the Villa Park Rotary Club,  provides young students the opportunity for gaining an increased awareness and knowledge of their community and the world. At a young age, all students can easily be encouraged to be caring and helpful. Their minds are open to recognize the dignity and worth of each individual which builds respect for others.  Early Act™ also engages students in character-building activities and prepares them for leadership roles to identify and carry out projects which benefit their school, local and global communities.
