Orange Unified’s Crescent Elementary Robotics Team Scores!

Orange, CA – January 28, 2019 – Orange Unified is proud to announce that Crescent Elementary Robotics Team A, Crescent Scoring Machines, has advanced to the VEX IQ State level following regional wins in Southern California this winter. Team A won the Excellence Award at the Valley competition in Northridge in December, then won the Alliance and Skills Award at Tustin Unified’s competition earlier this month.

Coached by Crescent teacher Jennie Bond, Team 15A Crescent Scoring Machines includes students  Wesley Eltiti, Sasha Kim, John Malilim, Summer Najib, Sree Vadlamudi, Devin Williams, and Ian Williams.   

"We appreciate the hard work and dedication of our Teacher Advisor Mrs. Bond as well as the time contributed by our parent volunteers to support our students so they can do their best," stated Principal Shelé Tamaki.   "Our strong Robotics program demonstrates 21st Century learning to increase and strengthen student interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education while preparing our students to be college and career ready.”
