Lampson Elementary PTA Awarded 2019-2021 National PTA Schools of Excellence

Garden Grove, CA – September 3, 2018 – We are pleased to announce that Lampson Elementary School is a recipient of the 2019-2021 National PTA School of Excellence Award. This award celebrates successful partnerships between PTAs and schools to enrich the educational experience and overall well-being for all students.

Lampson Elementary and Lampson’s PTA collaborated on successful implementation of an action plan for school improvement based on PTA's National Standards for Family-School Partnerships. As a result, Lampson has a stronger core of parent volunteers; students are  included as active participants in discussions regarding instructional, support, and extracurricular programs; and community outreach and communications have been improved.

Only three schools in Orange County received the 2019-2021 National PTA Schools of Excellence award, with a total of 326 schools recognized nationwide.

“We have an incredible PTA and leader, Eva Coria, who dedicate countless hours to make Lampson a school of excellence,” said Principal Heriberto Angel. “We are so thankful for their passion and commitment to Lampson.”

Lampson’s PTA supports many of the school’s popular programs and events, such as movie nights, promotions, fundraisers, field trips, Art Masters, cultural events, assemblies, and more.

The school has previously been acknowledged as a California Gold Ribbon School, received a 2016 Title I Academic Achievement Award, and is a Common Sense Certified School. More information about Lampson Elementary is available online at orangeusd.org/lampson-elementary-school-k-5.

Students are currently being accepted for the 2019-2020 school year.
