Crescent Elementary Robotics Teams Advance to VEX World Finals in Kentucky

Orange, CA – March 4, 2019- Orange Unified is proud to announce Crescent Elementary’s Robotics Teams have both advanced to the VEX IQ World Finals following the Southern California regional competition wins this past weekend. Team 15A Crescent Scoring Machines won the Robot Skills, Teamwork, and Excellence Awards in La Verne and Team 15B Cougar Bots won the Excellence Award and second place for Teamwork in San Diego.  Both teams will travel to the VEX IQ World Finals in Louisville, Kentucky to compete with other Robotics teams from around the globe this April.

"We appreciate the hard work and dedication of our Teacher Advisor Mrs. Jennie Bond, as well as the time contributed by our parent volunteers to support our students so they can do their best," stated Principal Shelé Tamaki. "Our strong Robotics program demonstrates 21st century learning to increase and strengthen student interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education while preparing our students to be college and career ready.”
