California Elementary Principal Named Apple Distinguished Educator

Orange, CA – April 10, 2019 – Orange Unified is pleased to congratulate California Elementary School Principal John Albert, Ed.D. on his selection to join the prestigious Apple Distinguished Educators (ADE) family for its 25th Anniversary class of 2019.

In 1994, Apple created the Apple Distinguished Educators (ADE) program to recognize pioneers using Apple technology to transform teaching and learning.  This past Thursday, Principal Albert was welcomed with 550 new members to the ADE family from around the globe joining the community of now 2,447 members since the program’s creation. 

California Elementary School is a premiere take home, one-to-one iPad school and home to a Dual Spanish Immersion program. Under Principal Albert’s leadership, California Elementary has received numerous accolades, including the California Gold Ribbon, Title I Academic Achievement Award, California School Board Association’s Golden Bell, and recognition as an Apple Distinguished School.  

Dr. Albert is also a 2019 Orange Unified School District Administrator of the Year.
