Villa Park, CA – December 12, 2018 – Orange Unified School District is proud to announce that Villa Park High School Athletic Director Tom Fox has been recognized as a Certified Master Athletic Administrator by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA). He is now one of a very elite group of interscholastic athletic administrators nationwide to attain this level of professionalism.
Fox earned this distinction by demonstrating exemplary knowledge, contributions, and on-going professional development in the field of interscholastic athletic administration. The NIAAA certification process included a thorough evaluation of his educational background, experience, and professional contributions, along with a multiple-choice exam and presentation project.
“Whenever we have a question about any athletic topic, including scheduling, sports leadership, coaching and CIF Blue Book matters, Coach Fox is our go-to guy,” stated Villa Park High School Principal Ken Miller, Ed.D. “We are proud to celebrate this fine gentleman and his prestigious professional achievement. This distinction is one of many honors Tom has earned throughout his honorable 15 year career.”
The NIAAA is a national professional organization consisting of all 50 state athletic administrator associations and more than 10,000 individual members. It is dedicated to promoting the professional growth of high school athletic administrators and preserving the educational nature of interscholastic athletics and the place of these programs in the secondary school curriculum.
