Crescent Robotics Scoring Machines & Cougar Bots – State Champions at VEX IQ

Orange, CA – February 28, 2018 - Orange Unified is pleased to announce Crescent Elementary’s Robotics teams became State Champions at the California VEX IQ Elementary School competition in Pomona this past weekend. The Crescent Scoring Machines took Second Place in Teamwork and the Cougar Bots took First Place in Teamwork and Excellence. Both teams will travel to the  2018 VEX Robotics World Championship in Kentucky this spring.

Coached by Crescent teacher Jennie Bond, Team 15A Crescent Scoring Machines includes Aston, Colette, Devin, Keira, Rishi, Joshua, Sasha, Sree, Vihaan, and Wesley.    

Team 15 B Cougar Bots includes students: Anish, Ellie, Kayal, Niyati, Riley, Rohaan, Sophia, and Tanish.
