“YOU’VE GOT THE EDGE” Employee of the Month Recognition program has been designed with the District’s Core Values in mind. This program encourages outstanding customer service in the workplace in fulfillment of the District’s new Strategic Plan. It increases awareness of the goals and values as well as the importance and significance of outstanding performance.
Certificated and Classified employees who have been nominated by their peers, co-workers, and/or supervisors are selected for exemplifying the following core values:

Fidel Alatorre, Plant Supervisor at Villa Park High School
“Congratulations Fidel! Fidel goes above and beyond to serve the staff, students, and community of Orange Unified.
Ken Miller, Principal, Villa Park HS had this to say about Fidel: ‘Fidel Alatorre is probably the kindest and most hard-working gentleman I have ever known. He has served our greater Orange community for 42 years and always displays and models servant leadership. What I love (we all love) about Fidel is he has class, humility, and is extremely trustworthy. He loves Villa Park High School, our kids, our staff and community.’
Tom Fox, Assistant Principal, VPHS had this to say about Fidel: ‘Fidel Alatorre has been a pillar on the Villa Park High School campus for over three decades. As Plant Supervisor, he provides excellent customer service and steady leadership in making sure day-to-day operations take place as smoothly as possible and always with a smile. The respect and love that the community has for Fidel are off the charts!"
