At Santiago Charter Middle School we are focused on excellence. The Staff at Santiago shares a vision of a student-centered program dedicated to the educational well-being of each of its unique middle school students by offering the following programs:

GATE/Honors

Santiago Charter Middle School offers GATE and high achieving students a differentiated program that pairs rigorous academic goals with an accelerated, in-depth academic program focusing on student achievement. Students are looked at as individuals and are encouraged to become life-long learners and leaders of tomorrow.

NJHS (National Junior Honor Society)

National Junior Honor Society, or NJHS, is a worldwide organization that consists of chapters in middle schools. As stated in the NHS constitution, the purpose of NJHS is "To create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in the students of secondary schools." Selection is based on five criteria: citizenship, service, leadership, scholarship and character. Members must maintain a high grade point average and participate in service projects.

These are just a few of the wonderful programs we offer students at Santiago. We also are very proud of our STRIVE program, where students are motivated and rewarded for their academic achievement. It is our goal to encourage students to strive to achieve as high of grades as they are capable of earning.
