Be either a graduating high school senior from as Orange County High School, reside in Orange County, minimum of 2.5 GPA, and demonstrate financial need.

Complete and sign the attached application, write an essay as specified in the application, arrange for 2 letters of recommendations to be given to you.  Submit the following to the Foundation in one large envelope: Three copies of your application, two letters of recommendation, and an official copy of your Transcripts

Janice M. Scott Memorial Scholarship Fund

Students must be a US Citizen or permanent resident, have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, must matriculate at a US accredited four-year college or university full time during school year 2009-2010, and have demonstrated leadership abilities through participating in community services, extra curricular or other activities.

Students must complete the application, official transcripts, 2 letters of recommendations, completed official financial aid document from the federal government and an Essay

Applicants must be a graduating senior and plan to enroll full-time at an accredited two or four-year college, university or vocation/trade school.  Students who demonstrate outstanding scholastic ability and/or leadership, financial need and determination to graduate from college.

Applicant must be a graduating senior from and Orange Unified School District High School, applicant of immediate family member (mother, father, or guardian) must be a member of a PTA within Orange Community Council of PTAs by November 1st of the current school year, must have a 2.5 GPA or better

Please submit a photocopy of PTA membership card of the applicant or family member, current transcript with a 2.5 GPA or better, Scholarship Application Section I, II, III, and IV

2009 Dot Sutphin Scholarship

$300.00

Available to all graduating seniors of Orange Unified School District, as well as, the children of CSEA members, whether or not they attend school in OUSD.

 

Completed forms should be returned to Lola Renoso.  Students should also include an essay telling about hi/herself, educational goals, extracurricular activities, planned major, etc.  A letter of recommendation from a school official should also be included.

Eugenia “Gene” Love Memorial Scholarship for the Arts

$500.00-$2,000.00

Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, must have graduated by September 1, 2009 from and OUSD high school, or reside in the city of Orange and attend a local high school.  Applicants must be planning to attend college as a full-time student majoring in any aspect of the field of art in the fall of 2009.

 

Application Package: Must consist of the following six parts:

  1. Scholarship Application
  2. 1 Letter of recommendation from and adult instructor in the arts who knows the applicant well
  3. Photocopy of official high school transcripts
  4. Artwork requirements
  5. recent photograph of the applicant

Must be a female graduating high school senior of Orange High School, have demonstrated a willingness to make a positive contribution to their communities, have an “unweighted” GPA of at least 3.0, and register at an accredited institution of higher learning for the fall of 2009.
