Congratulations to the three Orange
Unified School District Teachers of the Year and all other nominees from
around the District. Through their hard work and dedication to the
students and communities of the District, these teachers exemplify the
true meaning of excellence in education. Each brings their own unique
style to their teaching assignment while serving as a significant role
model for students, staff, and community members.
Lynn
Paclucki
McPherson Magnet
Lynn Palucki began her career in the Orange Unified School District as a teacher at
Cerro Villa Middle School. Lynn then moved to McPherson Magnet School
where she dedicates her time and talents to make her students the best
they can be. Lynn describes her classroom as a magical space for her
students to learn to reach higher, dream bigger, and to strive to be
better than they are. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business
Administration from Cal State Fullerton. She is currently working on a
Master’s degree in Education Administration at Concordia University in
Irvine. She holds a Multiple Subject teaching credential and a CLAD
certificate.
Pam
Quiros
Villa Park High School
Pam Quiros has served in many roles with the Orange Unified School District. She
began her career in Orange Unified teaching in the elementary GATE
program. Her interest in using the library as a means to teach
students then took her in a different direction. She has since served
as a library media specialist at the middle school, district
coordinator of library media services, and now as a library media
teacher at the high school level. It is Pam’s goal for every student
at Villa Park High School to realize that the library is the center of
a plan for lifelong learning. Pam has a Bachelor’s degree in Art from
UCI and a Master’s degree in Administration from Pepperdine
University. Pam holds a Multiple Subject teaching credential, an
Administrative Services credential, a Library Media Teacher Services
credential, and a CLAD certificate.
Amber
Miller
La Veta Elementary School
Amber Miller is an elementary school teacher who has worked with students at the
primary and upper grade levels both at La Veta and California
Elementary Schools. She believes that “children do not care about what
you know, until they know that you care.” She works everyday to
demonstrate her level of care to each of her students and to the
community she serves. She finds the greatest lessons learned have
been the ones the students have taught her. She has a Bachelor’s
degree in Liberal Studies and a Master’s degree in Elementary
Education from Chapman University. Amber holds a Multiple Subject
teaching credential with CLAD.
